In this group, we focus on centralising the multiple experimental research activities related to 5G and other wireless communication technologies when applied in different industries – e.g. manufacturing, automotive, non-terrestrial, smart-cities, health-care, farming, etc. Our research activities span from performing measurements and field trials, developing radio channel models and network deployment guidelines, providing realistic parametrisation inputs to system and link level simulators, and doing performance evaluations; to develop wireless prototypes and testbeds for demonstrating novel concepts.
