This is the First Annual workshop, “Future of Communications”, organized by the research group on Connectivity at Aalborg University. The workshop is organized under the auspices of the Villum Investigator Grant “WATER”, aimed to investigate the communication techniques and systems beyond 5G and towards 6G. The scope of communication engineering is expanding towards close collaboration with other areas, such as computing, energy, machine learning, quantum computing or similar. Besides presenting a snapshot of the research done at the Connectivity group, the aim of the workshop is to gather presentations and insights from leading researchers in communications and related areas, such as computer science, energy, quantum science and robotics.
