mobile robots research group
Mobile Robots is one of the research groups at the Department of Electronic Systems.
Mobile robots have become more commonplace in commercial and industrial settings. Hospitals have been using autonomous mobile robots to move materials and warehouses have mobile robots systems to move materials around. In this research group, we focus on two sub-areas of mobile robots: Behaviour and Interaction – i.e. contextual understanding of the scene in which the robot is navigating, and the methods for using this information in safe navigation. Second, we focus on Safety and Performance that is enhancing performance and safety features of the robotic systems, e.g. optimization techniques.
