Title
Perception of Reverberation in Domestic and Automotive Environments

Abstract
In this thesis, we investigated the influence of acoustical properties of small-sized listening environments on human perception, focusing on domestic rooms and car cabins. These investigations addressed three major questions relating to (a) the perceptual attributes that could characterize these fields, (b) the physical properties of the fields that are likely to influence human perception, and (c) the relationships between the physical and perceptual properties of the fields. To address these, the thesis also dealt with the appropriate methods to perceptually evaluate room acoustics and a new experimental framework was proposed and implemented.
